Chemistry Student Worksheet

Hi everyone! I hope you have a great day today!

I assume you already read my post about Chemistry Learning in UTSS, one thing that I love the most about how my cooperating teacher run his chemistry class is the student worksheet he used!

My cooperating teacher always use student worksheet to better explained the subject materials, hence suggested me to do the same thing for my practicum. These student worksheet usually consists of several parts in which each section has questions to be filled out by students based on the learning they get in chemistry class.

This student worksheet is printed in recycled paper (that's right! Japan is very environmentally friendly!) And has a hole in the edge of the paper so students can recap the papers in one document. This student worksheet strongly supports cooperative learning among students because it is not uncommon to have instructions to be done in groups.

In the end, I realized that this student worksheet was a teaching strategy from my cooperating teacher that could provide several benefits for students, including:
  1. Give students a structured understanding of a material while showing important points in learning to students
  2. Give students the opportunity to take notes during the learning process
  3. Give students the opportunity to learn in groups and learn some interpersonal skills there
  4. Practicing student focus on things that are important in learning
  5. Make students have complete records for learning
  6. Helping students who enjoy visual explanation

Towards the exam, this student worksheet is very useful as one of the primary learning resources for students to be more focused.

Here are some examples of student worksheets in chemistry class!
