Chemistry Student Worksheet

Hi everyone! I hope you have a great day today!

I assume you already read my post about Chemistry Learning in UTSS, one thing that I love the most about how my cooperating teacher run his chemistry class is the student worksheet he used!

My cooperating teacher always use student worksheet to better explained the subject materials, hence suggested me to do the same thing for my practicum. These student worksheet usually consists of several parts in which each section has questions to be filled out by students based on the learning they get in chemistry class.

7 Things I Do Before Teaching

So, basically before teaching every teacher have to make a lesson plan based on the material, the students, the availability of the equipment, the time duration, until the learning objectives based on curriculum.

But for pre-service teacher like SEA-Teacher participant, there are few things we have to do before teaching. I will make a list of it.

    Chemistry Learning in UTSS

As an integrated school, UTSS didn't obligated the students to join the chemistry class, except for first grade student. The chemistry curriculum here is not that different from the one in Indonesia. I have the opportunity to observed several classes, either in the first grade or in the second grade.

In this program, each SEA-Teacher assigned to one class to know how to be a homeroom teacher in Japan. I've got 1B Class with 40 students. Homeroom teacher have to join the cleaning time that begin from 3.15. Yes, in Japan, even teacher have to accompany the students to clean the classroom

After 10 minutes cleaning the classroom, we begin the homeroom session with teacher announcement. After that, teacher will ask the students if there are anything they want to share to the whole class. It can be anything, task, school event, class event, etc.
